I love to help young people understand the potential they have to excel in their studies, and I have many different techniques and tools to help them succeed. I believe a full education is one of the most important things that a person can have, and it is my job as a tutor to help your child meet their educational goals.I started working as a teacher after I graduated college five years ago, and have had the chance to teach students in the 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. Math (particularly Algebra 1, Elementary Math, and Pre-Algebra) and Reading are my favorite subjects to tutor. I also tutor Biology, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, Earth Science, Science, English, Special Education, and Study Skills and Organization. I graduated from Washburn University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.When I'm not busy working, I love to spend time with my family, particularly my twin daughters. I also enjoy being outside, playing soccer, running, or hiking. And, of course, nothing beats a good book!
